Welcome to our YouTube channel!

In the YouTube channel, we will share sneak peeks into our development and you will hear directly from the minds behind our technology. We are showcasing how our middleware integrates seamlessly with advanced robotic systems as well.

Hi everyone, I am Guillaume, and I'm the founder of Copper Robotics.

We started the company in 2024 with the mission to build software for robot creators.

We are bridging a gap in the industry to help robot creators to get past this prototype stage with their robot and aim at a real product.

I am a software engineer by trade, and when I got the opportunity almost 10 years ago to join the self-driving and drone businesses, I jumped on that opportunity.

Out of that experience, I noticed that robot creators were under-equipped for runtimes that are deterministic and performant.

When you are building a robot, you always have this kind of a build or buy decisions you need to take.

When you are kind of buying or getting solutions in the open source world, you might encounter limitations like the event-based systems and so on, the ROS world, for example, is infamous for.

And if you don't want to actually hit those limitations, you will have to build it in-house. From my experience, I did that four times, it's really expensive.

So with Copper, you can solve those two technical issues, determinism and performance in a cost-effective way with an open source core and a suite of professional tooling that we are licensing on top of it.

Copper is developed with Rust. Rust is a language that is well known for its safety properties.

In addition to this, Copper has a very user-friendly API that is really well adapted to algorithm developers.

We will explore deeper those two topics in subsequent episodes. Stay tuned for the next episode and see you soon.
